I am a writer, curator, and ethnographer. For the last 15 years, I’ve worked internationally in the field of contemporary art, through artist-run project spaces, national museums, and small, non-profit arts institutions.

I am an observer of culture, both material and immaterial. I am a researcher of language, in all its forms. I translate what I see and find into tangible narratives through projects with artists, including exhibitions, performances, publications/chapbooks/zines, readings, and screenings. Thematically, I am interested in the interrogation of gender, body, space, and place. I am interested in political and social concepts of belonging, citizenship, and dis/ability, and the subjectivity of border and boundaries.

Currently, I direct the Luxembourg Institute for Artistic Research (LIAR) in New York.
